My experience with fasting. I came across the channel of Dr. Sten Ekberg, https://www.youtube.com/@drekberg, about health and intermittent fasting about a year ago. I was not diabetic but I wanted to loose some weight. I lost 8 kilos, and I couldn't even loose 1 kg before. I eat one meal a day, 6 days a week, one day I do not eat at all. I feel wonderful with this diet, one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

Thank you for taking the time to post this write up. I have read somewhere before that "fasting" could help against diabetes but didn't know the effect could be this significant. I'm glad your husband glucose levels are healthy again! By any chance do you know if he could become "diabetic" again if he starts eating three meals a day again? Is that something you have tried?

We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly fasting worked!

He doesn't strictly fast on the weekends and when he checked, his sugar was 120. I'm not sure how long he'll need to fast five days a week to keep his number's low, and I'm fairly certain that will be very dependent on the person and their own circumstances. We're not to the point where he's tried to go back to his regular schedule yet, though. This will be his 4th week of five day 18-6 fasting and he seems much healthier in more ways than just his sugar levels! I'm going to leave it up to him to work the details out. I've told him to listen to his body and let me know if he thinks he should make changes. I would assume once you get your sugar's down, a maintenance fast of once a week may be sufficient, but like I said...it's going to depend on the person, their weight, current diet, etc etc.

And you're welcome. I just hope this helps other's to find true health. Doctor's and pills don't "cure" anything. They do nothing but mask the symptoms, causing the actual problem to worsen. While the metformin made his blood glucose levels look good on paper, his body was busy stuffing the extra glucose in every organ and fiber of his body! Scary stuff!

Take care! And don't hesitate to holler if you have any other questions.

I would go further to say that doctors don't only "not cure", they create more problems, misdiagnose and mis-treat those problems, and then create more. And they have zero clue about nutrition, herbals, holistic care, homeopathy, OMAD, coconut oil, or anything but prescribing, and prescribing some more.

It's because they have rules they must follow. And following these rules gives them the license to cut, poison, and even murder you and your loved ones.

"I don’t use olive oil"

Why the hatred of olive oil?

It has a lot of good stuff in it.
